The superb integration of Xbox Live is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing due to how easy it is to find and converse with your friends no matter what you and they are playing, but a curse for how easy it is to do the same to you.
Playing HAWX for the past week resulted in a serious amount of voice messages and angry party invites by people determined to haul me kicking and screaming into a Gears of War 2 multiplayer lobby. Setting the Xbox to offline only worked for brief periods as the damn thing seemed to reset every half hour or so, so I was forced to send about 10 text messages every night just to avoid pissing a lot of people off.
No more movement on the job, I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers, unfortunately Easter weekend always results in a fundemental breakdown of the employment world. I also ended up really behind on my articles and reviews due to family stuff, resulting in a few concerned emails from various editors and me doing the online equivalent of ducking into a large hole in the ground.
Finished Hawx, so can finally start playing something else. Gonna try to get Prince of Persia done and dusted this week among my revision and other commitments, maybe play some more Gears 2, perhaps a bit of Halo Wars in co-op if I feel like it. Gotta get that finished.
Oh, and Happy Easter everyone.
